Foundation mtnonline scholarship offers academic scholarships to blind students in any discipline as well as those pursuing science and technology at public post-secondary institutions around the country. Each year, up to 360 new scholarships may be added to the program, and under continued academic success existing scholarships may be renewed.

MTN Scholarship requirements
1. Institution of Study
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) and MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) are available for the students of Nigeria in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Colleges of Education, Universities, and Polytechnics).
2. Course of Study
- MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is available for 300-level students to study courses related to Science and technology in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Colleges of Education, Universities, and Polytechnics).
- MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is available for 200 & 300-level Blind students to study any course in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Colleges of Education, Universities, and Polytechnics).
3. Level of Study
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
- The scholarship application is open to students who have finished their second-semester 200-level exams to move on to the 300-level as well as students who are presently enrolled in the 300-level, as we acknowledge that not all public tertiary institutions follow the same academic schedule.
The MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
- The scholarship application is open to 200 & 300-level blind students in any Public Tertiary Institution in Nigeria (Colleges of Education, Universities, and Polytechnics). However, only 300 level pupils are eligible to apply for the MTN Scholarship for blind students studying law, which is a five-year program.
4. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
- STEM Students must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (second-class upper credit) in Public Universities, and Colleges of Education.
- STEM Students must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Program in Public Polytechnics.
- Direct Entry level STEM students must have secured admission into 300 level/3rd year in a Public University and must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
- Blind Students must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 in the Universities or Colleges of Education.
- Blind Students must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Program in Public Polytechnics.
Scholarship Coverage
Grant recipients who fulfill the necessary Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), would each receive a Scholarship grant value of N200,000 from the time of their eligibility till graduation.
