Financial coverage of the DAAD Scholarship

DAAD Scholarships in Germany are Fully Funded by the Government of Germany and all the expenses will be covered by the Government. The DAAD Scholarship will cover all the Expenses to pursue free Study in Germany.

  • For Master’s: 934 euros per month
  • For Ph.D.: 1,200 euros per month
  • Travel Allowance
  • Health allowance, accident, and personal liability insurance are also covered.

In some cases, scholarship holders may also receive the following additional benefits:

  • Monthly allowance for accompanying members of the family.
  • Monthly rent subsidy

Eligibility Criteria for DAAD Scholarship 

  • Scholarships are for all candidates from Developing Countries.
  • You should have a Bachelor’s degree to apply for the Master’s
  • You should have a Master’s degree to apply for a Doctoral degree
  • Candidates must have at least two years of professional experience

  • Academic letter/s of recommendation (the letters must have a letterhead, a signature, and an official stamp and must be of recent date)

  • Confirmation of employment from the employer in your home country and – if possible – a guarantee of re-employment.

Proof of language abilities:

  • English – IELTS/ TOEFL (Note: We only accept an academic TOEFL)
  • Germany – necessary for the courses taught in German; for the courses taught in English, if available
  • (certified*) copies of awarded academic degrees (certified translation if necessary)
  • (certified*) copies of academic transcripts (certified translation if necessary)
