Kitty fund grant! Applications are now being accepted for the National Kitty Fund for Mompreneurs, according to Founders First CDC. This is your chance to advance your business and receive a $1,000 microgrant.
The initiative, which supports women-owned companies, offers qualified small enterprises a $25,000 pool.
The Kitty Fund is a result of the efforts of female entrepreneurs who wish to give other female entrepreneurs startup money.

The National Kitty Fund for Mompreneurs
The award was established in remembrance of Catherine “Kitty” Abrams Tadlock Webster, the mother of Founder’s First CEO Kim Folsom, who died away in March 2020, and in honor of Mother’s Day.
The Kitty Fund provides modest microloans to mothers operating employer-based small enterprises that employ two or more people.
The application for the 2024 Kitty Fund opens in March 2024.
Company and Application Requirements for the Kitty Fund Grant
The Application of your Company will be considered:
- You have to be an official representative of your Company.
- Your Company must:
- Must fulfill the requirements for qualifying listed in the grant application.
- Complete the application process on the Founders First website (“Site”).
- Fill out the Success Creators Job Assessment.
- The terms of this Agreement should be accepted by Your Company.
Eligibility Requirements for the microgrant
- As the CEO, President, or business owner, a mother must lead the company.
- Businesses with two or more employees and yearly revenue under $5 million are eligible.
- A brief video explaining the company, its clients, and why it ought to receive the funding is required for applications.
Grant Condition
The Company may only receive financial grants if the following requirements are met:
- To receive the payout, the company must open an account with Bill.com within 30 days of receiving notification of the grant award; otherwise, the grant funds will be forfeited.

Prohibited Uses for Kitty fund grant
For any of the following purposes the company should not use any Grant Funds;
- Public Election: Voter Registration Campaign. To have a direct or indirect impact on the results of any election involving candidates for public office, or to continue any voter registration campaign.
- Terrorist Activity: To encourage or assist in any way any terrorist action, associated training, money laundering, or violence.
- Violation: Causing or promoting violations against the law or public policy.
- Private Inurement: Discreet Behavior. bringing about any illegal private benefit or private inurement, or engaging in any other behavior that conflicts with Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).
- Any Other Purpose: Using Grant Funds for uses other than those covered by Section 170(c)(2)(B) of the Code, which includes charitable, scientific, literary, and educational endeavors.
