British Council International Collaboration Grants 2024

We are glad to announce that the applications are now open for British Council International Collaboration Grants 2024 for the second time. This £1 million grant program aims to promote new cultural partnerships between UK artists, arts professionals, organizations, and their counterparts worldwide.

Our grants for international collaboration promote the formation of new bilateral and multilateral alliances, offer financial support to organizations so they can produce and develop artistic works in collaboration with their global counterparts, and assist individual artists in discovering fresh approaches to working together.

Grant Value

The value of the International Collaboration Grants British Council ranges between £25,000 and £75,000.

Eligibility Criteria for British Council International Collaboration Grants

Applications must show a real commitment to international cooperation and provide clear advantages to participating UK organizations and artists as well as to their foreign partners. Projects can deal with any field, and candidates are asked to discuss how they plan to deliver their projects while promoting inclusivity, equality, and environmental sustainability.

Participating countries

As part of the partnership, each project should include a minimum of one UK-based organization, and one organization headquartered is located in one of the following countries.

Argentina, Albania, Algeria, Brazil, Bangladesh, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Mainland China, Cuba, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Montenegro, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Serbia, Senegal, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Syria, Turkey, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Venezuela, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.

Application

The application deadline for the grant is April 30, 2024, at 23:59 GMT. Accordingly, the deadline for those who living in Vietnam would be May 1, 2024, at 6:59 p.m. BST + 7 (due to daylight savings time). Record the date and time zone.

How to Apply for British Council International Collaboration Grants?

The application process is online for International Collaboration Grants British Council.

  • Each application should be submitted by one organization working collaboratively with all partners involved, and each partner can only submit one application for the same collaboration project.
  • To apply, a free Submittable account is required, which can be created or signed in using Google or Facebook credentials. The form allows collaboration and partners can be invited to collaborate on the form.
  • Drafts of the application can be saved and edited until the submission date, but once submitted, applications cannot be re-accessed for editing.
  • The Submittable platform does not support Internet Explorer, which functions best on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
  • Submitting applications before the deadline is recommended to avoid technical issues. Notifications about submissions will be sent via email, so it’s advised to safelist notification emails from Submittable and regularly check the associated email account.
